Centris

How It Works

1

Storing your documents securely

You can create your own Folders (like "House in Stellenbosch") and Categories (like family members, a car or a property) to organise your vault exactly the way you like it.

To add a document, go to the Vault tab and tap Upload. Choose who or what it belongs to, pick a type (ID, passport, insurance, will, etc.) and either upload a file or scan the pages with your camera.

On the Sovereign or Legacy plan you can also bulk upload many documents at once.

This is completely optional — we've already added some sensible defaults for you. And if you don't choose a folder when uploading, our Smart Agent reads the document and automatically files it in the right place.

2

Sharing your documents with others

Open the Vault, select a document, then use the Email, Download or Share buttons at the top of the document details page.

For a quick share, on the My Vault page you can select one or more documents in the tree and choose Email from the drop-down list.

We take security seriously — your documents never leave our servers unless you download them yourself. Instead, the recipient gets a secure link and a PIN, and both expire within one hour.

Emergency access: in Settings you can set an emergency PIN, then mark individual documents as "Share for emergency access". Everyone you give that PIN to will be able to view all the documents you've shared this way — so only share it with people you trust.

3

Using the Smart Assistant (and WhatsApp)

When you upload a document, our Smart Agent analyses it and extracts the key details. You can see everything it found on the Document Details page.

Instead of digging through your vault, simply ask the Assistant in a normal chat. For example, if you uploaded your Marriage Certificate you can ask:

  • "When did I get married?"
  • "What is my wife's date of birth?"

You can also connect your vault to WhatsApp and chat from there — no need to log in to Centris.

Your security stays intact: no document ever leaves Centris, and none of your information — documents or extracted content — is stored by WhatsApp. Everything runs over a secure, encrypted connection.

Please note: Centris is not an agent or partner of WhatsApp. This optional feature is provided purely for your convenience.
